VHP Supports Baba Bageshwars Sanatan Unity Chariot Yatra Amidst Political Statements
The VHP backs Baba Bageshwars Yatra, addressing foreign interference and local educational policies in India.

Mumbai, October 22 (Daily Kiran) : The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has expressed its support for Baba Bageshwar’s “Sanatan Unity Chariot Yatra,” which aims to address issues of foreign interference in India’s internal affairs and the holiday policy for madrasas. National spokesperson Shriraj Nair welcomed the stance of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding ongoing protests in Delhi, emphasizing that India is capable of managing its own affairs without external intervention.
Nair highlighted that this marks the fifth pilgrimage led by Baba Bageshwar, which will take place from Lucknow to Ayodhya. A significant number of followers from the Hindu community are expected to participate. He stated that Baba Bageshwar is committed to combating addiction, Naxalism, love jihad, and land jihad, and the VHP fully supports these initiatives.
Regarding the demand for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Nair mentioned that it is the government’s responsibility to address such matters. He appreciated Rubio’s decision to refrain from commenting on this issue.
On the topic of madrasas having Fridays off, Nair agreed with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s statement. He argued that if government schools and colleges are closed on Sundays, madrasas should also observe the same holiday. Nair stressed the need for uniform standards across institutions within the state. He also referred to the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) implemented in Uttarakhand, stating that the VHP and Bajrang Dal support the Chief Minister’s position on this matter.
He concluded by asserting that there should not be different laws for various communities in the country, advocating for a uniform civil code that aligns with the constitutional principle of equality.
