Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami Reviews Development Projects and Announcements

Dehradun, April 10: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting on Friday at the secretariat to assess the development works, announcements, and other initiatives related to the Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar constituencies.

CM Dhami shared updates on social media platform X, stating that during the meeting, various issues related to regional development were discussed by the legislators, and he directed officials to take prompt action. He emphasized that any laxity in development projects would not be tolerated.

Officials were instructed to maintain continuous communication with legislators to address public grievances. For projects involving multiple departments, effective coordination was deemed essential for successful implementation.

In preparation for the upcoming monsoon season, officials were directed to complete all necessary tasks before the rains. They were also instructed to avoid unnecessary power cuts during the summer and ensure adequate availability of drinking water.

Cabinet Ministers Saurabh Bahuguna, Ram Singh Kaida, Banshidhar Bhagat, Diwan Singh Bisht, Trilok Singh Chima, CA Shiv Arora, and Sarita Arya were present at the meeting.

Earlier, CM Dhami announced the launch of a mobile app developed by the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board at his camp office in Dehradun. He also reported the transfer of over ₹17 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer to the accounts of 8,005 workers.

During this event, officials were directed to focus on skill development for workers and their dependents. Training in technical fields such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and carpentry was encouraged to promote local employment. Additionally, officials were instructed to provide free training for workers’ children in yoga and wellness sectors, aiming to connect them with job opportunities both domestically and internationally.

He also presented appointment letters to candidates selected for the cartographer position under the Department of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare at the government residence. He congratulated all newly appointed candidates and wished them a bright future in their new roles.

The effective implementation of strict anti-cheating laws in the state has resulted in transparency and fairness in the recruitment process. So far, over 30,000 youths have been appointed to government services based on merit, strengthening both their confidence and morale.
