Uttar Pradeshs New Identity and Momentum with Jewar Airport: Chief Minister Yogi

Noida, March 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the Noida International Airport today, marking a significant milestone for India’s aviation sector. During the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the Prime Minister’s leadership, stating that this airport exemplifies the changing landscape of a “New India.”

He emphasized that Jewar Airport will provide Uttar Pradesh with a new identity and momentum. The airport is expected to enhance global connectivity and position the state as a major investment hub. The Chief Minister highlighted the achievements of the central government’s policies over the past decade, noting that these initiatives have been effectively implemented, yielding tangible results.

Yogi also commended the central government’s decisions regarding petroleum prices and supply, calling them noteworthy. He pointed out that, despite global instability, India has managed to control prices and maintain a smooth supply chain, which is a significant accomplishment. Criticizing the opposition, he remarked that Uttar Pradesh, which once lagged in development, is now rapidly advancing and establishing a new identity.

According to the Chief Minister, improvements in law and order and infrastructure have made the state more attractive for investment. He mentioned that the foundation stone for this project was laid in November 2021, and the completion of the first phase reflects the “double-engine” government’s efficient approach, ensuring timely execution of plans.

Referencing the Ram Navami festival, he noted that while there is cultural vibrancy in the country, many nations face economic challenges. Nevertheless, India has maintained stability and balance, thanks to the central government’s visionary policies. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude on behalf of Uttar Pradesh’s 250 million residents, stating that Jewar Airport will become a pivotal point for the state’s development, creating new opportunities for employment and investment.

He asserted that Jewar Airport will position Uttar Pradesh as a center for global connectivity, linking it with major networks such as the Yamuna Expressway, the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Ganga Expressway, RRTS, and the Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail line.

The Chief Minister stated that the Noida Airport project will create direct and indirect employment for millions of youth. He noted that investment opportunities in the Yamuna Expressway, Noida, and Greater Noida have already begun to emerge. Recently, a semiconductor chip manufacturing unit was inaugurated near the airport, and the process for establishing a state-of-the-art electronic manufacturing cluster is also underway.

He emphasized that the potential within Uttar Pradesh will be elevated to new heights through the Noida International Airport and its associated facilities. Yogi highlighted the airport’s commitment to seamless, smart, and sustainable operations, including aviation fuel forms, in-flight kitchen facilities, MRO, and a focus on modern digital and energy conservation practices to enhance the travel experience.

He concluded by stating that the construction of a dedicated multi-modal cargo hub will help Uttar Pradesh overcome its landlocked limitations, facilitating easier access to the global market.
