Lucknow, September 3 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government is taking significant steps to ensure timely resolution and transparency in revenue disputes. On September 3, the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council launched three new online portals aimed at streamlining the process.
The new initiatives include an e-filing portal for online tracking of revenue dispute cases, an online transmission portal for lower court records, and a beta version of a portal designed specifically for expediting name transfer cases under Section 34 of the revenue code.
Archana Agarwal, chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council, emphasized the importance of resolving pending cases in a transparent manner, as directed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The e-filing portal will facilitate the registration of new revenue disputes, while the online transmission portal aims to digitize records from lower courts. The Section 34 portal will enhance the efficiency and transparency of name transfers.
Initially, the e-filing and online transmission portals will be implemented at the board level, followed by rollouts at the divisional and district levels. These portals will be linked to the Revenue Case Control Management System (RCCMS).
Agarwal assured that both manual and online registration options will be available to avoid any inconvenience for users. Kanchan Verma, the board’s commissioner and secretary, noted that most cases involve name transfers under Section 34. The new portal is expected to hold officials accountable and ensure timely resolutions.
The online registration of revenue disputes will reduce paperwork, expedite case registrations, and make it easier to track the status of disputes. Additionally, records from lower courts can be sent and tracked online, minimizing delays and the risk of lost files.
The online monitoring of name transfer cases will aid in timely resolutions and enhance accountability among officials, providing relief to citizens who previously had to visit government offices repeatedly for such processes.
