Muzaffarnagar, June 20: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step towards enhancing local employment, skill development, and micro, small, and medium enterprises by launching the ‘Blue Dots AI’ initiative across all 18 divisions of the state. The initiative was inaugurated in Muzaffarnagar by the Minister of Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, who opened the state’s first Joint Facilitation Center (JFC) on Saturday.
Following the success of a pilot project in Ghaziabad, this digital initiative is now being expanded throughout Uttar Pradesh. Minister Agarwal stated that the government’s goal is to directly connect local youth, women, and skilled workers with available job opportunities in their vicinity. He emphasized that young people can now access this platform in their local language via voice calls and easily obtain job information on a mobile map.
Additionally, local MSMEs and industries will have quick access to qualified and trained candidates in their area. Agarwal noted that when local talent and industries connect, the goal of a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh will be further strengthened. He acknowledged that technology is merely a medium; true success will come from the coordinated efforts of departmental teams, industries, and partner organizations. He also praised the contributions of the Ghaziabad district team, departmental officials, and partner organizations in making this innovative initiative successful.
This platform aims to connect youth, women, training institutions, industries, and employers on a shared digital platform, making the local employment process simpler, more transparent, and effective. Agarwal highlighted that the pilot project in Ghaziabad yielded encouraging results, with over 16,000 local job opportunities and more than 15,000 interested candidates successfully registered within a few months. This achievement occurred despite the limited scope of industries, indicating the vast potential for job creation throughout the state through this initiative.
He pointed out that a major challenge today is that even when job opportunities and qualified candidates exist in the same field, they often fail to connect due to a lack of information. Consequently, industries struggle to find the necessary human resources, and youth are forced to search far and wide for employment. The ‘Blue Dots AI’ initiative aims to effectively address this issue. By utilizing a local language-based voice feature and location-based mapping, this platform will establish direct contact between youth and industries.
The first Joint Facilitation Center established in Muzaffarnagar will serve as a key hub for regional coordination, monitoring, and service delivery. In the upcoming phases, similar centers will be set up in all 18 divisions of the state, where district industry centers, labor departments, employment offices, ITIs, polytechnics, higher education institutions, industry associations, MSMEs, startups, and other local partner organizations will work together in an integrated manner.
