Patna, March 16: The political rhetoric surrounding the Rajya Sabha elections has intensified in Patna. Upendra Kushwaha, the leader of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and NDA’s candidate for the Rajya Sabha, asserted that the NDA is set to win all five seats in Bihar. He stated that it became evident on the day of nominations that all five seats would belong to the NDA.
During a press conference in Patna, Kushwaha said, “All five NDA candidates will win. There is no doubt about it. The counting is happening today, and the results will reflect what we have been saying repeatedly.”
He further remarked that the opposition is trying to spread confusion, but the reality is clear to everyone. Responding to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, Kushwaha made a pointed comment, saying, “He was ready to take the oath of Chief Minister, but what happened in the end? As the RJD gradually disappears from Bihar’s political landscape, their legislators are also vanishing. What can we say about that?”
Meanwhile, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha also expressed confidence in the NDA’s victory in the Rajya Sabha elections. He noted that in a democracy, everyone hopes for victory, but the NDA’s win is based on a clear mandate from the public. “Our coalition reflects the people’s order, and on that basis, we will win. Our five candidates will contribute to good governance and the development of Bihar in the Rajya Sabha,” he stated.
Sinha added that the opposition lacks issues to campaign on. “The opposition always resorts to whining and making accusations. These are the same people who once brought tears to Bihar, but now the people are responding to them,” he said.
Sanjay Kumar Jha, the National Executive President of the Janata Dal (United), also claimed that NDA candidates would secure a significant number of votes. He mentioned, “We are receiving widespread support, and by evening, the results will clearly show that the NDA will win all five seats.”
Jha raised questions about the opposition’s decision to house RJD legislators in a hotel, stating, “This indicates that you do not trust your legislators, and they do not trust you.”
