UP Minister Claims RLD Legislators Will Support NDA in Rajya Sabha Elections
UP Minister Anil Kumar asserts RLD legislators will vote for NDA in Rajya Sabha elections, countering claims from the Samajwadi Party.

Lucknow, September 29 (Daily Kiran) : In Lucknow, on September 29, Uttar Pradesh Minister Anil Kumar has asserted that legislators from the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) will cast their votes in favor of the NDA coalition during the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. This statement comes amidst claims made by the Samajwadi Party (SP).
Kumar responded to the SP’s assertions, stating, “If anyone is making claims, they cannot be stopped. However, we have seen previous Rajya Sabha elections where all RLD legislators voted unanimously for the NDA. This time, we will also support the NDA coalition. They should not have any misconceptions.”
When questioned about SP chief Akhilesh Yadav‘s absence from the meeting of the opposition coalition, Kumar remarked that it was Yadav’s personal choice whether he chose to attend or not. He criticized the opposition for focusing on the SIR issue, stating it was not a significant concern. “The opposition lacks any real issues, and the public continues to vote in favor of the NDA,” he added.
Meanwhile, in Ghazipur, BJP Rajya Sabha member Dr. Sangeeta Balwant participated in a skill training program organized by the industry department. She noted that approximately 250 women attended the skill training session for tailoring, part of a state initiative.
Balwant expressed her pleasure at the large turnout of women engaging in skill development. She emphasized that the vision of both the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister is to promote traditional occupations, enhance skills, and empower citizens of the state and the nation.
Responding to Yadav’s comments about conducting elections via ballot paper, Balwant criticized the opposition. “It is often said that a disgruntled cat scratches the pole. When they win, everything is fine, but when they lose, they start making accusations,” she stated.
She pointed out that as opposition parties struggle to achieve success, they resort to mutual blame games. The exchange of statements between leaders of the ruling party and the opposition continues regarding the Rajya Sabha elections and the electoral process.
