Bhopal, September 29 (Daily Kiran) : Minister Narendra Shivaji Patel of Madhya Pradesh has strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly spreading falsehoods during his recent visit to the state. Patel accused Gandhi of using his platform to demean Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his family, stating that such disrespect would not be forgiven by the people.
Speaking to reporters in Bhopal, Patel expressed outrage over the mockery directed at the Prime Minister’s mother during Gandhi’s event, asserting that the citizens of the country would not tolerate such behavior. He highlighted the emergence of numerous memes and videos on social media that disrespected the Prime Minister following Gandhi’s program.
Patel also took aim at the previous Congress-led government, questioning the integrity of its leaders. He referenced former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s tenure, suggesting that doubts about the Congress leaders’ governance were prevalent during that time as well.
In a separate matter, Patel addressed concerns regarding government vehicles, clarifying that the state had not purchased any new vehicles. Instead, he explained that the government had outsourced the service to another agency, which provided a mix of new and used vehicles. He assured that any vehicles failing to meet the set standards would result in action against the service provider.
Additionally, Patel provided an update on the process for distributing school uniforms to students. Initially, the government planned to supply uniforms centrally, but after the academic session began, a new approach was suggested. The government has now decided to transfer funds directly to students’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to facilitate timely procurement of uniforms.
The decision, made during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, will provide 600 rupees to 58 lakh children currently enrolled in government schools up to the eighth grade for their uniforms.
