UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Receives Grand Welcome in Tokyo During Official Visit

Tokyo, February 25: After a successful trip to Singapore, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Japan on Wednesday, where he was warmly welcomed in Tokyo.

The Chief Minister was greeted by Deputy Governor Junichi Ishidera and members of the Indian expatriate community. This visit marks CM Yogi’s first trip to Japan and highlights the growing strategic and cultural ties between India and Japan. The two-day official visit is seen as a significant achievement in strengthening bilateral relations.

CM Yogi shared updates on social media platform X, expressing his respect for the land of the rising sun, referring to it as the ‘Aditya’ of Lord Shri Ram’s sacred land. In another post, he mentioned a productive and visionary meeting with Kazuki Shimizu, the Managing Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Mitsui & Co.’s Infrastructure Projects Business Unit, along with senior members of his team.

He further stated that they invited Mitsui & Co. to invest in renewable energy, information and communication technology, semiconductors, and data centers in Uttar Pradesh, aligning with the state’s rapid industrial expansion. Discussions also covered collaboration on infrastructure projects, logistics networks, and industrial investments to strengthen the development corridors of Uttar Pradesh and integrate into the global supply chain.

Additionally, CM Yogi met with Shigeki Tanabe, Senior Managing Executive Officer and General Manager of Sales Management Division at Konoe Transport Company Limited, along with his team. They discussed enhancing Konoe’s presence in Uttar Pradesh through logistics parks, warehousing, and multimodal transport infrastructure. The company was invited to explore opportunities in medical device manufacturing, leveraging dedicated freight corridor networks and the medical devices park located in Yeida, further bolstering India-Japan industrial cooperation.
