Two Pregnant Women Suffer Kidney Complications After Delivery in Kota

Two women in Kota develop serious kidney issues post-C-section, raising concerns over maternal care at the local hospital.

Kota, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : In Kota, Rajasthan, two women have developed serious kidney complications following cesarean deliveries at the New Medical College Hospital. This alarming situation has reignited concerns regarding postpartum care and patient monitoring at the facility.

One of the patients, Reshma, was transferred to a private hospital after her condition deteriorated. She is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The second patient, Anita, has also been admitted to the ICU in the hospital’s super specialty block.

These recent incidents echo a troubling event from five months prior when twelve newborns reportedly experienced kidney failure after cesarean deliveries at the same hospital, leading to the deaths of five infants. The recurrence of kidney complications has raised questions about the hospital’s treatment protocols and the potential causes of patients’ declining health.

As of now, the exact causes of these complications remain unclear, necessitating further medical investigation and assessment. Reports indicate that Reshma underwent a cesarean section at the New Medical College Hospital on Wednesday, after which her health worsened, prompting her family to seek advanced care at a private facility. Concerns are mounting regarding her sudden health decline, as it appears she is suffering from kidney-related issues post-delivery.

Similarly, Anita is facing health problems following her cesarean delivery and has been admitted to the ICU at the hospital’s super specialty block. Both women are reported to be experiencing kidney-related complications, but the underlying reasons for their conditions have yet to be determined. Further medical examinations and thorough testing will be essential to uncover the causes of their deteriorating health.
