Trump Responds to Midterm Election Results, Claims Victory if He Had Run
Donald Trump comments on the midterm election outcomes, suggesting a different result if he had been a candidate.

Washington, November 4 (Daily Kiran) : Former President Donald Trump has issued his first statement regarding the midterm election results, asserting that his absence as a candidate negatively impacted his party’s performance. Speaking on Truth Social, Trump remarked, “I was not a candidate in this election. If I had been, we would have won by a large margin!”
Despite not running, Trump had urged voters to consider him as they cast their ballots for Republican candidates. In an interview with The New York Times, he acknowledged the election outcomes, stating, “I am fully prepared to accept these results. We will work with the Democrats. We are excited about collaborating with them and hope to find a way forward.”
The midterm elections concluded on Tuesday, November 4, with early results indicating a clear setback for Trump’s Republican Party. The opposing Democratic Party has gained an advantage in both chambers of Congress.
In the House of Representatives, all 435 seats were contested, with early trends showing Democrats leading in 147 districts. The Republicans maintained a lead in 88 districts.
For the Senate, elections were held for 35 of the 100 seats. Democrats are also showing a lead in these races, with 51 seats needed for a majority.
Currently, Republicans hold 53 Senate seats, while Democrats have 45, along with two independent senators who generally align with the Democratic caucus, resulting in a seat ratio of 53-47.
In Florida, Byron Donalds won the gubernatorial race, while Piya Dandia, of Indian descent, secured a seat in the House of Representatives.
