Washington, June 6: President Donald Trump has made significant remarks regarding Iran. He stated that the confrontation with Iran is nearing an end and announced that Tehran’s nuclear ambitions will be stopped “one way or another.”
Speaking at an agricultural meeting in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, on Friday, Trump asserted that the United States has largely achieved its goal of preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear-armed nation.
He emphasized the need to eliminate the threat of nuclear weapons, stating, “We were not going to let that happen.” He added, “We have largely accomplished this, and you will see, somehow, it will be done.”
Trump indicated that the resolution could come either through an agreement or through more difficult means.
Notably, he did not provide details about ongoing negotiations or potential military actions but hinted that developments related to Iran would soon become clearer.
The President also connected this situation to the costs impacting energy markets and American farmers. He stated, “You will see food prices drop significantly. Food will be cheaper, energy will be cheaper, and oil and gas prices will also decrease.” He expressed hope that the outcome regarding Iran would help alleviate economic pressures.
“We are at a turning point where we will soon exit the Iran issue, and it will be a very strong position,” he remarked during a comprehensive speech focused on agriculture, trade, and the economy.
Trump repeatedly mentioned that lower energy prices would benefit farmers and rural communities. He also referenced military operations against Iran, claiming that significant damage had been inflicted on Iranian naval assets. “Iran has no navy,” he stated, noting that 159 ships had been targeted within four days.
He described this campaign as evidence of American military strength, asserting that the blockade imposed during the conflict was unprecedented. “Such a blockade has never happened before,” he said, adding that his administration is still addressing “unfinished business” related to Iran. “We are fixing some unfinished tasks in Iran,” he concluded.
