Mumbai, August 15: South actress Trisha Krishnan attended an event organized by the Tamil Nadu government on Independence Day. She was seen sitting with CM C. Joseph Vijay’s parents, S.A. Chandrasekhar and Shobha Chandrasekhar, drawing significant attention.
During the ceremony, Trisha wore a yellow saree paired with a green blouse. A viral video on social media shows her saluting Vijay as he carried out his official duties at the event.
Dating rumors between Trisha and CM Vijay surfaced earlier this year. Previously, Vijay’s wife, Sangeeta, filed for divorce in February 2026 under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. The petition claimed that she discovered Vijay’s extramarital affair with another actress in April 2021, along with serious allegations of mental harassment and neglect.
Sangeeta later confirmed via video conferencing that she no longer wished to pursue the legal matter. With no objections raised by the respondent’s lawyer, the court considered the petition withdrawn and closed the case.
Following this, Trisha and Vijay were spotted together at a wedding reception in Chennai, both dressed in matching outfits. The actress also attended Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony in May, wearing a cream blouse with a peacock-colored and golden saree, accompanied by her mother, Uma Krishnan.
Vijay’s party, Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), struggled to form a government multiple times after the election results on May 4. Ultimately, he managed to establish a government in Tamil Nadu with support from several smaller parties. TVK emerged as the largest party in the 234-seat assembly elections.
