Tributes Pour In on Jayaprakash Narayans Birth Anniversary from Union Ministers and Chief Ministers

New Delhi, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : On October 11, leaders from across India commemorated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Jayaprakash Narayan, a prominent figure in India’s political landscape. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, along with Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Manohar Lal Khattar, as well as Chief Ministers like Yogi Adityanath from Uttar Pradesh and Bhajan Lal Sharma from Rajasthan, took to social media platform X to pay their respects.

Minister Chouhan expressed his reverence, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the political titan and Bharat Ratna, Jayaprakash Narayan, who called for a ‘Total Revolution’ to protect Indian democratic values, I bow to him. His profound thoughts and ideal life will continue to inspire future generations to fight against injustice.”

Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also honored Narayan, stating, “On the anniversary of the architect of ‘Total Revolution,’ dedicated to safeguarding democratic values, I respectfully pay tribute. Whether in the struggle for independence or during the oppressive Emergency of 1975, he empowered the public to recognize the strength of democracy and paved the way for its restoration.”

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, remarked, “Jayaprakash Narayan was a symbol of democratic values and social harmony. His call for ‘Total Revolution’ against the dark chapters of democracy during the Emergency continues to inspire us. Today, I humbly salute him.”

Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, shared his thoughts, saying, “I pay homage to Bharat Ratna Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary. As a fearless freedom fighter and visionary leader, he played a crucial role in the Quit India Movement and later became a powerful voice for democracy during the Emergency. His courage and unwavering belief in democratic values will continue to inspire generations.”

Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal noted, “On the birth anniversary of the prominent nationalist thinker and vigilant guardian of democratic values, Bharat Ratna Jayaprakash Narayan, I bow deeply. His dedicated life to the nation and society symbolizes his commitment to human rights, democratic consciousness, and social change.”

Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma echoed similar sentiments, honoring Narayan’s life as a beacon of inspiration for democratic values and social change.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted Narayan’s legacy, stating, “As a symbol of patriotism, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to democratic values, I pay profound tribute to Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary. When the Congress imposed the Emergency, Narayan raised awareness for the nation, leading a historic struggle to protect democracy.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his respect, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter and political titan, Bharat Ratna Jayaprakash Narayan, I offer my humble tribute. His voice became a powerful expression of democratic consciousness during the challenging times of the Emergency.”

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also paid tribute, recognizing Narayan as a socialist thinker and a dedicated leader whose life serves as an inspiration for democracy and social justice.

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary honored Narayan, emphasizing his role in the freedom struggle and as a staunch supporter of democratic values.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya concluded the tributes, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter and social reformer, Bharat Ratna Jayaprakash Narayan, I bow to him. He led the ‘Total Revolution’ movement for significant changes in social and administrative systems, embodying dedication to democratic values and social welfare.”
