Chennai, Mar 19 : Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister MRK Panneerselvam today announced establishment of Garden in Government Girls Hostel in the State. Presenting his second agriculture budget in the State Assembly, he said to help girl students to identify fruits, vegetable and herbal plants, their importance, cultivation methods and its nutritional value, gardens will be established with Fruits, Vegetables and Medicinal plants in Girls Hostels all over Tamil Nadu. This project will be implemented in 200 Girls Hostels at an outlay of Rs.20 lakh under State Government fund in which kits valued Rs.10,000 per kit comprising Fruit seedlings, Medicinal plants, Coconut seedlings, vegetable seeds garden tools and other inputs will be distributed at full subsidy. gv 1457
