TN guv faces black flag demonstration

Mayiladuthurai, April 19 : Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi has faced black flag demonstration from members of the Dravidar Kazhagam, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, CPI and CPI (M) during his visit to Dharmapuram Adheenam Mutt here on Tuesday in protest against the delay over forwarding the anti-NEET Bill passed by the State assembly to the President. The protesters raised slogans and showed the black flags against the Governor, despite the presence of policemen at Mannampandal village enroute. Some of them had thrown the black flags on the road. Anxious moments prevailed for some time, when a group of BJP men arrived to welcome the Governor. Police swung into action by detaining about 60 protesters for staging the black flag demonstration and restored normalcy. Additional policemen were deployed along the route and protection to the Governor was beefed up. GSM CS1549
