
Bhopal, August 20: Hemant Khandelwal, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Madhya Pradesh unit, emphasized the crucial role of social media influencers in shaping society. Speaking at the ‘Social Media Dialogue: Coffee with State President’ event in the capital, Khandelwal engaged with social media influencers, highlighting their importance in realizing the vision of a developed India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target for India to become a developed nation by 2047, which is not just a government goal but a collective commitment of 1.4 billion citizens. Achieving this vision requires participation from every segment of society, including youth and citizens.
Khandelwal stated that social media is a vital tool for shaping public opinion and driving positive societal change. It has evolved beyond mere entertainment or information exchange; it now significantly influences societal thoughts, behaviors, and directions. He urged the youth to utilize social media as a means for nation-building, making the role of influencers even more critical.
He pointed out that social media’s impact in disseminating the vision of a developed India and transforming it into a mass movement is profound. A single post, video, or positive thought can reach millions in no time. Therefore, the broader the reach of influencers, the greater their contribution to national development.
Khandelwal stressed the need to promote positivity, innovation, youth empowerment, self-reliance, and development through social media. It is essential to share information about the country’s achievements, youth successes, startups, technology, education, employment, women’s empowerment, and welfare schemes with as many people as possible.
He concluded by stating that social media should be a platform for raising awareness, connecting people, and engaging them in nation-building. Every post and message should reflect a glimpse of India’s bright future.
