Dehradun, June 15: Tensions are escalating in the Beragivala area of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, following the murder of BJP leader Vinod Kashyap. His family is expressing outrage and demanding the arrest of the perpetrators. They are frustrated by the lack of progress in the investigation, which has seen no satisfactory developments even three days after the incident.
Vinod’s wife, Nidhi Kashyap, tearfully stated that her husband never harmed anyone, yet he was brutally killed. She expressed her primary concern for their children’s future and upbringing. Nidhi emphasized that the culprits should face a punishment that serves as a deterrent to society. The murder has left the entire family in deep shock.
Meanwhile, Vinod’s father, Bhagwat Kashyap, alleged that his son’s murder was a premeditated conspiracy. He claimed, “The administration assured us that an FIR would be filed and action taken, but the culprits remain at large.” The family continues to demand justice, while also facing threats. Bhagwat reported that other family members have received death threats, creating an atmosphere of fear.
Vinod’s younger brother, Rajesh Kashyap, has also raised concerns about the police and administrative response. He stated, “After the incident, officials pressured the family to file an FIR and promised swift action. Yet, three days later, there have been no concrete results. We just want justice, and many villagers are standing in solidarity with us.”
Rajesh further mentioned that some political leaders and officials are pressuring the family to conduct a post-mortem, while they prioritize the arrest of the guilty and a fair investigation. He urged the administration to ensure transparency and expedite the arrest of the suspects.
Currently, police are actively investigating the case. In response to the murder, security measures in the area have been heightened, with the administration closely monitoring the situation.
