Tel Aviv, March 7: Tensions among the United States, Israel, and Iran are rapidly escalating as the conflict enters its eighth day. During this period, Israel has launched a new wave of attacks, while reports of explosions have emerged from a major commercial airport in Tehran.
The confrontation, which began on February 28 with an attack in Tehran, has gradually intensified. Initially, it appeared limited to airstrikes and retaliatory actions. However, it has now evolved into a larger conflict, including drone strikes across the Gulf region.
Former President Donald Trump has taken a hard stance on the crisis, stating that no agreement will be reached with Iran until it surrenders unconditionally. He also suggested that Iran should move towards selecting new leadership that would be acceptable to his administration following such a surrender.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti military reported that its air defense systems intercepted several incoming threats. Since Saturday morning, multiple waves of attacks have resulted in the downing of 12 Iranian drones and 14 ballistic or cruise missiles.
The sounds of these interceptions were heard across various parts of the country. However, officials stated that only minor property damage occurred due to debris from the missiles.
In a related development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) informed residents in northern Israel that they could come out of bomb shelters, as the recent Iranian ballistic missile launch did not pose a direct threat to the area, and no warning sirens were activated.
Later, however, the Israeli military issued a new alert for residents of Tel Aviv, much of central Israel, and the West Bank. They detected another missile launch from Iran, raising concerns of further escalation in an already volatile regional confrontation.
