Hyderabad, November 3 (Daily Kiran): At least 18 people were killed in a tragic road accident early Monday morning in Telangana’s Rangareddy district. The accident occurred around 6 a.m. near Khanpur Gate in Chevella mandal when an RTC bus collided head-on with a tipper truck.

According to eyewitnesses, both the tipper driver and the RTC bus driver died on the spot. The impact of the collision was so severe that several passengers were trapped in their seats, and the front portion of the bus, including the first five rows, was completely crushed under the tipper.
Officials said the bus was carrying around 70 passengers at the time of the crash. Rescue teams rushed to the scene to assist in retrieving the injured and bodies trapped in the wreckage. The exact number of fatalities is yet to be officially confirmed.
The accident site is located about 40 kilometres from Hyderabad. Police and district authorities have begun an investigation into the cause of the accident.
