It has also been reported that Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members are required to appear before a Delhi court on October 13 in connection with the Land-for-Jobs case. The court has directed all of them to be present in person.

Speaking on the alliance situation, Congress MP and former Bihar Congress chief Akhilesh Prasad Singh dismissed any talk of discord within the alliance. He said, “Almost all discussions regarding seat-sharing have been completed. A few minor issues are common in every alliance, even within the NDA. Everything will be finalised and announced within a day or two. All is well.”

Meanwhile, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav emphasized the importance of unity, stating that the alliance’s strength lies above individual ambitions. He said, “The alliance comes first — Bihar’s people and Bihar’s future are most important. This election is about destruction versus development. It will be fought on the strength of Rahul Gandhi’s message of love, development, and struggle, against hate and divisiveness.”

Pappu Yadav added that every leader in the Mahagathbandhan will be respected, calling for recognition of party workers’ efforts. He claimed that OBCs and minorities in Bihar stand firmly with Rahul Gandhi’s vision of progress and unity.

On Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani’s demand for the Deputy Chief Minister’s post, Pappu Yadav said, “Everyone has the right to express their views, and there’s nothing wrong with putting forward one’s demands.”
