Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes Bihar Government Over EO Murder Case

Patna, August 4: Tejashwi Yadav, the National Executive President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, has launched a strong attack on the Bihar government regarding the murder of Executive Officer Vimal Kumar in the Dehri-Dalmianagar Municipal Council.

Yadav accused the government and police of attempting to shield the main accused in the case. He demanded a fair investigation, strict action against the guilty, and security along with a government job for the victim’s family.

During a press conference held in Patna, Yadav stated that the murder of the Executive Officer two days ago was not just an attack on one individual but an assault on the entire administrative system. He pointed out that this marks the second murder of a government official since Samrat Chaudhary became Chief Minister, raising serious questions about law and order in the state.

Yadav revealed that he met with the deceased officer’s family, which includes two young children and a wife. He expressed his deep sympathy for the grieving family. The RJD leader alleged that the family has made serious accusations regarding the involvement of a legislator from the ruling coalition, but the police are not investigating this angle.

He criticized the police for labeling the driver as the murderer even before the post-mortem and forensic reports were available, questioning the integrity of the investigation. Yadav claimed that the family believes multiple individuals were involved and that the murder was a premeditated conspiracy.

He dismissed the police’s argument that the murder occurred due to work pressure and lack of leave as unreasonable. Yadav also pointed out that the driver’s statements have changed multiple times, and his wife has accused the police of exerting pressure.

He insisted that the police must investigate every possible angle and that no individual should receive political protection. Yadav further alleged that there is a climate of fear among honest officials in the state, warning that a failure to take impartial action against the guilty would erode public trust in the administrative system. He urged the government to rise above political blame games and strengthen the rule of law through a transparent investigation.

Tejashwi Yadav accused the government of demoralizing officials, stating that if government employees are not safe, the safety of the general public cannot be assured. He reiterated his demands for security for the deceased officer’s family, a respectable government job for his wife, and stringent legal action against the perpetrators.

During the press conference, Yadav also criticized the government for its handling of law and order, asserting that the Chief Minister has proven to be completely ineffective on this front. He stated that if necessary, the RJD would take to the streets to ensure justice for the victim’s family.
