Patna, March 27 : Leader of the opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Sunday slammed the Narendra Modi government for a sharp increase in prices of diesel, petroleum and cooking gas, saying it would further aggravate the hardships of the common man already reeling under spate of price rise in the country. Yadav told media persons that prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas were kept deliberately stagnant by the Narendra Modi government due to assembly elections in five states. As expected, prices were increased after the completion of assembly polls in five states, he remarked. The leader of the opposition said that price of crude oil was also not so high which warranted an increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas. Even in neighbouring countries, petro prices were not as high as in India, he added. Yadav said that BJP was not at all concerned about the real issues of the people. Unemployment had increased alarmingly under the present regime at the Centre and also in Bihar, he said, adding that despite promising jobs to youths, nothing was done for them. Even those earlier engaged in jobs were also rendered jobless, he lamented. KKS RN
