Jaipur, 25 August (Kiran News). In the wake of incessant rains and rising floodwaters in parts of Kota and Bundi districts of Rajasthan, the Indian Army’s Sapta Shakti Command has undertaken extensive flood relief operations with swift response and unwavering commitment to the people.
Displaying operational readiness and humanitarian spirit, flood relief columns promptly reached the affected areas and initiated rescue, evacuation, and relief measures to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens trapped in low-lying villages.
In one of the major operations conducted in NimodaHariji village, Digod Tehsil of Kota, troops successfully evacuated and safely relocated more than 200 villagers, including women, children, and the elderly, to safer locations. Alongside, relief teams provided essential supplies—food, drinking water, and medicines—to meet the immediate requirements of the affected families.
Despite adverse weather conditions and persistent heavy rainfall, Army teams have continued their relentless efforts, working round-the-clock to bring hope, safety, and strength to flood-hit communities. Their timely intervention has not only ensured physical rescue but also restored confidence among the villagers battling the fury of floods.
Further extending the scope of operations, dedicated flood relief columns have been deployed in Nainwa, Keshoraipatan, and BadiDhandla areas of Bundi district, where several villages remain inundated. The Army’s presence has reassured local citizens and supported the civil administration in providing immediate relief and assistance.
