Beijing, May 2: According to the Chinese National Energy Administration, the number of travelers on national highways peaked on the first day of the May Day holiday.

An analysis by the National Charging Infrastructure Monitoring and Service Platform revealed that the charging volume for new energy vehicles reached an impressive 23,033,900 kilowatt-hours. This marks a significant 55.6% increase compared to last year. Additionally, the number of charging services exceeded 946,300, breaking the previous record for the May Day holiday.

In response, the National Energy Administration will collaborate with relevant parties to strengthen the monitoring of highway charging facilities. They aim to enhance the dynamic allocation of emergency charging resources and ensure reliable charging services throughout the May Day holiday.
