Shocking Violence in Hazaribagh: Coal Trader Murdered, Villager Killed by Fleeing Criminals

Hazaribagh, March 6: A violent incident in the Barkagaon police station area of Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, has sent shockwaves through the community. On Thursday night, unknown assailants brutally murdered a coal trader using sharp weapons in the village of Napo Khurd.

In the aftermath of the attack, a fleeing vehicle struck another villager, resulting in his death. The double tragedy has created an atmosphere of fear and anger in the village. Eyewitnesses reported that Rohit Saw, a local coal trader, was present in the village when the attackers arrived in a white Scorpio.

According to witnesses, the assailants surrounded Rohit Saw and swiftly attacked him with sharp weapons, leading to his immediate death. Panic ensued among the nearby residents, and the attackers quickly fled the scene in their vehicle.

It is reported that the Scorpio was driven recklessly and at high speed, likely due to the fear of being caught. During this chaotic escape, some villagers were struck by the vehicle. Pradeep Saw, also from Napo Khurd, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital by local residents, but unfortunately, he could not be saved.

News of the double fatalities has heightened tensions in the area, with villagers expressing significant outrage over the incident. Following the reports, police from the Barkagaon station arrived at the scene to manage the situation. Both bodies have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examinations. An investigation has commenced, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the attackers.
