Shocking Murder Conspiracy Unveiled in Sangli: Wife and Lover Arrested

Mumbai, June 28: A chilling incident has emerged from Sangli, Maharashtra, where a wife conspired with her lover to murder her husband. The couple allegedly intoxicated the victim before brutally strangling him. The local Crime Investigation Branch (LCB) has uncovered this heinous plot.

The incident occurred between 12:30 AM and 2:45 AM on June 25, in the Vishrambag police station area. The deceased has been identified as Anand Hanmant Sarje, a 28-year-old resident of Pol Mala, Vishnunagar, near D-Mart in Sangli.

On the night of the incident, Anand was found unconscious at home. His wife and relatives rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The hospital notified the police, prompting the Vishrambag police station to register a case of sudden death and hand over the investigation to the LCB.

Inspector Sanjeev Jhadhe of the LCB took charge of the investigation, during which shocking truths emerged. It was revealed that Anand was an alcoholic. On that fateful night, his wife Pallavi Sarje, 22, and her lover Deepak Appasaheb Ajamane, 21, conspired together.

The duo first got Anand heavily intoxicated. Once he was deeply asleep, they held his legs, placed a noose around his neck, and strangled him using a bathroom hose.

In a swift response, the LCB arrested both suspects. During interrogation, Pallavi Sarje and Deepak Ajamane confessed to their crime. They were taken into custody on Friday and handed over to the Vishrambag police station.

This operation was conducted under the guidance of SP Tushar Doshi and Additional SP (ASP) Kalpana Barwakar, with the full support of Inspector Sanjeev Jhadhe, Senior Inspector Prashant Nishandhar, and the entire LCB team.
