Shocking Murder Case Solved in Deoghar: Three Arrested Including a Woman

Deoghar, March 19: In a shocking turn of events, police in Deoghar district, Jharkhand, have solved the gruesome murder case of a young man whose decapitated body was discovered. Within 48 hours, authorities arrested three individuals, including the main suspect, a woman, and placed them in judicial custody.

Superintendent of Police Saurabh Kumar announced on Thursday that the victim has been identified as Dilip Turi, who worked as a driver for the accused woman, Babita Devi. Tensions escalated in the area following the incident, prompting local residents to protest by blocking roads at Baijnathpur Chowk, demanding the arrest of the culprits. The victim’s body was found near Devang Baba Maidan in Thadi village within the Rikhia police jurisdiction on Monday.

Given the seriousness of the case, a special investigation team was formed under the leadership of SDPO Ashok Singh, incorporating police from Rikhia, Mohanpur, and Town police stations. Utilizing forensic and technical evidence, investigators were able to identify the victim. It was revealed that Dilip Turi had been sharing personal information about his employer with an acquaintance, which angered Babita Devi. She conspired with Payal Raut and Sanjeev Kumar to murder him.

Late Sunday night, the accused lured Dilip Turi to a secluded area, where they slit his throat and abandoned his body to evade detection. Police conducted raids and apprehended all three suspects by Wednesday evening. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime.

The Superintendent of Police stated that the investigation is ongoing, with additional technical aspects being examined. He assured that strict and timely action against the criminals will continue.
