Mumbai, April 10: Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC responded to the alleged conversion case in Nashik on Friday, stating that any individual, especially women, who feel targeted for conversion should definitely file a complaint.
In an interview, Shaina NC emphasized, “Forced conversions and religious conversions are significant issues. The Maharashtra Assembly has also raised this matter. If anyone in Nashik feels they are being targeted for conversion, they should certainly lodge a complaint, and the government will stand by them.”
Additionally, she commented on the withdrawal of Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM from the alliance with the ‘Common People’s Upliftment Party’ in West Bengal. She remarked, “Whether it’s AIMIM or TMC, both engage in appeasement politics. The development agenda is solely with the NDA. Therefore, whether it’s Humayun Kabir or anyone else, I won’t personally comment on them. However, I will say that there is an atmosphere of fear in West Bengal today.”
Regarding the record voter turnout in the recent elections, Shaina NC noted, “Assam has truly set a new record. The 2026 Assembly elections saw an impressive 85.64% voter turnout. Compared to 82% in 2021 and barely 80% in 2016, this reflects the enthusiasm of voters, showcasing Prime Minister Modi’s popularity and Himanta Biswa Sarma’s commendable work.”
She also addressed the situation concerning Pakistan, where a proposal was made in their assembly to nominate PM Shehbaz Sharif and two others for the ‘Nobel Peace Prize.’ Shaina NC stated, “Pakistan must understand the implications of escalating nuclear tensions. They harbor terrorists within their borders. Their Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir should first focus on eliminating terrorism domestically before discussing diplomatic roles.”
