The results of the BEST Employees Cooperative Credit Society election were announced on Wednesday morning, with both Uddhav and Raj Thackeray failing to win a single seat. Ahead of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections, Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray had formed an alliance for this contest.
A total of 21 seats were contested in the BEST Employees Cooperative Credit Society election. Uddhav and Raj Thackeray fought under the Utkarsh Panel—Shiv Sena (UBT) contested 19 seats and MNS 2 seats. According to the declared results, the Shashank Rao Panel secured a major victory by winning 14 seats, while the Utkarsh Panel of the Thackeray brothers failed to win any.
The Bharatiya Janata Party contested the election with the Sahkar Samriddhi Panel, winning 7 seats. These results are seen as a significant setback for the Thackeray group and MNS and are likely to have an impact on the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections.
