Beijing, August 13: The Second World Humanoid Robot Games will kick off on August 22 at the National Speed Skating Oval in China’s capital, Beijing. This event is a joint initiative by the Beijing municipality and China Media Group.
The games are scheduled to run from August 22 to 26, spanning five days. Compared to the previous edition, this year’s games will feature an increased number of competition events and participating teams.
According to the schedule, a total of 1,301 competitions will take place across 51 events. The duration of the competitions has been extended from three days with six competition units to five days with nine units. The timing of the events has also shifted from morning and afternoon to afternoon and evening, with each unit lasting three hours.
Statistics indicate that the number of competition events will rise from 26 to 51. This includes 30 competitive matches and 21 scenario-based competitions. A total of 666 teams have applied to participate in the current games, with the match schedule increasing from 487 to 1,301.
Additionally, the initial rounds of the current games will be canceled. Events that attract audiences, such as martial arts and dance, will be incorporated into the competitive matches.
