Ranchi, August 14 (Kiran News) – The Meteorological Department has forecast scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning across various districts of Jharkhand until August 17. Wind speeds are expected to range between 30 and 40 kmph during this period. A yellow alert has been issued for Thursday to caution residents.

Rainfall in the Past 24 Hours
In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall in the state was recorded in Bishunpur block of Garhwa district at 58.3 mm. Other areas included Bhandaariya with 43 mm, Bargarh with 42 mm, Manoharpur with 34 mm, Chainpur in Gumla district with 33 mm, and Maithon DVC with 26 mm.

Since Thursday morning, Ranchi and nearby areas have experienced cloudy skies and light drizzle, causing inconvenience to daily commuters and school-going children.
Maximum temperatures on Thursday were recorded at 30.7°C in Ranchi, 35°C in Jamshedpur, 34.2°C in Daltonganj, 35.2°C in Bokaro, and 36°C in Chaibasa.
