Sanjay Sarawagi Expresses Gratitude for Nandkishore Yadavs Appointment as Nagaland Governor

Patna, March 6: Bihar’s former Assembly Speaker, Nandkishore Yadav, has been appointed as the Governor of Nagaland. Sanjay Sarawagi, the President of the Bihar BJP, expressed his gratitude to the central leadership for this significant appointment. Yadav has previously served in various ministerial roles and as the state president of the BJP in Bihar.

Sanjay Sarawagi stated that Nandkishore Yadav’s appointment as Nagaland’s Governor is a commendable decision by the central leadership. He also highlighted Yadav’s crucial role in addressing the issues in Kashmir.

On Thursday, the central government made several important appointments of governors and lieutenant governors across various states. Alongside Yadav’s appointment, Shiv Pratap Shukla, the current Governor of Himachal Pradesh, has been designated as the Governor of Telangana. Additionally, Jishnu Dev Varma, the Governor of Telangana, will now serve as the Governor of Maharashtra.

Lieutenant General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed as the Governor of Bihar. R.N. Ravi, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, has been assigned the responsibility of West Bengal. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, the Governor of Kerala, will also take on the additional charge of Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Kavidar Gupta, the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, has been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Vinay Kumar Saxena, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, will now serve as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, while Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

These appointments are seen as a significant step by the central government to strengthen governance in the states. Particularly noteworthy is R.N. Ravi’s appointment in West Bengal, following Dr. C.V. Anand Bose’s resignation. Ravi has previously been in the spotlight for his confrontations with the Tamil Nadu government led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. All eyes will be on the relationship between the Governor’s residence and the Trinamool Congress government in his new role.
