Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy A07 5G in India in the first week of February, replacing last year’s Galaxy A06 5G model. The device has already been introduced in select markets, revealing its key specifications.
The Galaxy A07 5G features a large 6.7-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 800 nits, ensuring good visibility in bright outdoor conditions. It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset and runs on Samsung’s One UI 8.0 software out of the box.
One of the most notable aspects of the Galaxy A07 5G is Samsung’s commitment to software updates, offering six Android OS upgrades along with six years of security patches. This level of support is uncommon in the budget smartphone segment, promising a longer usable life for the device.
The phone is backed by a large 6,000mAh battery, designed to deliver extended usage on a single charge. Its camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the rear, while the front-facing camera sports an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
In terms of durability, the Galaxy A07 5G comes with an IP54 rating, offering protection against dust and water splashes. Samsung Knox Vault adds an extra layer of hardware-level security to safeguard sensitive information.
The device integrates Google’s AI capabilities, featuring the Gemini assistant, Circle to Search functionality, and Gemini Live with natural language processing. These features bring advanced AI tools to a budget-friendly phone. The phone’s body is made from glass fiber reinforced polymer, keeping its thickness at 8.2mm and weight at 199 grams, despite the large battery capacity.
Samsung has not yet announced the official price or the exact launch date for India, although the phone is already available in the Philippines in two storage variants: 64GB priced at Php 8,290 (approximately INR 12,931) and 128GB priced at Php 9,990 (around INR 15,583).
