Actress Saiyami Kher shares her excitement about her upcoming Indo-Russian drama film and the unique experiences of cross-cultural collaboration.

Mumbai, October 28 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Saiyami Kher is gearing up for her international debut with an Indo-Russian drama film. She believes that collaborating with diverse cultures offers a fresh perspective on storytelling.
Reflecting on her experience, Kher stated, “This was a completely different and new experience for me. Working with an entirely foreign crew was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had. We shot in Russia, and it was my first time there.”
She praised Moscow, noting how the work environment differed significantly from India. “The entire experience of making the film was fantastic. The atmosphere in which we worked was quite different from what I have encountered before, and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of this project. I hope to participate in many more international projects in the future.”
Kher added, “Working beyond language and borders is incredibly fun. Collaborating with different cultures provides a unique storytelling perspective and allows you to learn from those who view cinema in their own distinct ways. I feel fortunate to have been part of such a wonderful opportunity. While I can’t share much about the film yet, it is a drama centered around a strong female character.”
Produced by Kartina Entertainment, White Night Films, and Vish Media, this film represents a cross-cultural collaboration that showcases the universal language of cinema through a powerful drama. Maxim Kuznetsov is directing the project.
Saiyami was last seen on the big screen in the crime thriller ‘Havaan,’ written and directed by Priyadarshan. This film is a remake of Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam film ‘Oppam,’ featuring stars like Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and herself, with Mohanlal making a cameo appearance. ‘Havaan’ marked the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after 18 years, their last collaboration being in the film ‘Tashan’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan.
