The RSS reports a significant increase in daily branches, reaching over 101,000, during its centenary year celebrations.

Indore, October 31 (Daily Kiran) : The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expanded its organizational activities to 110,849 locations across the country during its centenary year. The number of daily branches has now reached 101,151, as announced by Sunil Ambekar, the RSS’s All India Publicity Chief, during a press conference in Indore on Saturday.

Ambekar shared these statistics ahead of the RSS’s annual All India Executive Board meeting. He indicated that the meeting, scheduled for November 2-4 at Daly College in Indore, will review the organization’s growth and various activities conducted throughout the centenary year.

He stated, “As I previously mentioned, the meeting will evaluate the expansion of the organization during this centenary year. A detailed assessment will be shared on the final day. In summary, the number of daily branches of the RSS has now increased to 101,151. When combined with weekly and monthly gatherings, our activities have reached approximately 110,849 locations nationwide.”

The annual meeting will include key figures such as RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, and representatives from all six joint secretaries, senior officials, and representatives from the 46 provinces and 11 regions of the organization.

During the meeting, the agenda will cover a review of the events held during the centenary year, including the recently concluded Vijayadashami festival, which marked a significant milestone in the celebrations. Discussions will also focus on the issues raised by Bhagwat during his Vijayadashami address and the plans moving forward.

Significant topics on the agenda include challenges related to new media platforms, the growing problem of substance abuse, external interference in India’s internal affairs, and shifting global dynamics. Ambekar highlighted the historical connection of the RSS with Madhya Pradesh, noting that after its establishment in Nagpur, this was the first region outside Maharashtra where the organization began its activities.

He remarked, “The RSS has a long history in Madhya Pradesh. After starting operations in Nagpur, this was the first area outside Maharashtra where we initiated our activities. We have consistently received support and cooperation from the people here.” Ambekar also expressed gratitude toward the media for its role in disseminating the organization’s ideas, activities, and programs to the public. He expressed hope for continued collaboration from the media in the RSS’s second century, emphasizing its positive impact in reaching the masses.

Founded in 1925 by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur, the RSS is organizing various events and outreach activities nationwide to mark its 100th anniversary.
