Ramdas Athawale Meets Prime Minister Modi, Discusses Social Justice Initiatives

New Delhi, March 24: Ramdas Athawale, the national president of the Republican Party of India (Athawale) and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday for a courtesy visit.

During the meeting, Athawale expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for granting him the opportunity to serve as a member of the Rajya Sabha for a third term. He noted that this reflects the Prime Minister’s trust and guidance, which he is committed to upholding with full dedication.

Athawale emphasized his ongoing collaboration with the Bharatiya Janata Party to promote social justice, inclusive development, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. He also raised the issue of increasing scholarships for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Class (OBC) students, aiming to enhance educational and employment opportunities for youth from these groups.

Referencing the thoughts of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, he stated that education, equality, and social justice are the cornerstones of a strong nation. Athawale expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, these values are being further reinforced. He also suggested ensuring proper classification for individuals adopting Buddhism during the census, to prevent them from missing out on reservation benefits.

In conclusion, Athawale announced plans to widely promote the ideology of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, social harmony, and the values of the Constitution across the country. He committed to ensuring that the central government’s welfare schemes reach every citizen.
