Jaipur, March 25: Rajasthan’s Minister, Heeralal Nagar, addressed concerns regarding the fuel and LPG supply amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He assured that the state would not face any shortages of petrol, diesel, or gas.
In a conversation in Jaipur, Minister Nagar stated, “We have no shortages. There is a 15-day supply of petrol, diesel, and LPG available. The opposition has caused panic, leading to public concern. The waiting list for gas has decreased from 900,000 to 300,000. People are becoming more aware, and it is positive that LPG is being provided within two to three days. Thanks to PM Modi’s efforts, things are improving continuously. The opposition is worried about how everything is getting better. Their role seems to be creating confusion and chaos. In such situations, we should work together for the country’s benefit.”
Commenting on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s absence from an all-party meeting, Nagar remarked that it shows a lack of interest in development. He emphasized that the Prime Minister believes in inclusivity, involving the opposition in discussions. He added, “If the opposition has suggestions to improve the situation during this crisis, they should attend such meetings. Unfortunately, their focus appears to be on spreading chaos in the country.”
Minister Nagar also addressed concerns about power outages, stating that the state would not allow such issues. He assured that distribution companies are under strict supervision and that there is sufficient electricity supply. Currently, electricity demand is low, which is why nine plants are temporarily shut down. However, he criticized the opposition for misleading the public on this matter. “Last year, our government provided ample electricity to the public, and we aim to ensure that no one faces power shortages this year,” he said.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra criticized the government, claiming that influential individuals have no LPG shortages while the common people struggle to find gas cylinders. He noted that many are waiting in long lines and paying inflated prices on the black market. Dotasra announced a significant public movement on March 27 at the Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur to demand government action and relief for the people. He lamented the lack of a solid plan from the BJP government.
