Jaipur, March 25: The weather center in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, has issued an alert for dust storms and rain across several districts starting March 28. According to the department, eight districts may experience the impact.
The weather department reported that from March 25 to 27, partial cloud cover is expected in some parts of the state, while most areas will remain clear. The recent dust storm and rain subsided on Tuesday, but a new weather system is set to become active.
A weak western disturbance has caused cloud cover in many districts of western Rajasthan. Areas like Jaisalmer and Barmer experienced light dust-laden winds, while a gradual increase in temperature was noted.
In Jaipur, the day was marked by bright sunshine and a clear sky, with maximum temperatures rising by 4 degrees Celsius to reach 33 degrees. However, there was a slight chill in the morning and evening, and light winds made the daytime weather relatively pleasant. Many cities in the state recorded daytime temperatures below normal.
Meanwhile, districts such as Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jalore, Sirohi, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, and Jodhpur experienced cloud cover due to the weak western disturbance.
The continuous western disturbances have kept the weather slightly cool, with most parts of the state recording minimum temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius.
In the last 24 hours, Chittorgarh recorded the highest temperature at 36 degrees Celsius, while Barmer in western Rajasthan reached 36.8 degrees, the highest in the state.
As for minimum temperatures, Fatehpur in eastern Rajasthan recorded 14.1 degrees Celsius, while Churu in western Rajasthan noted a minimum of 17.8 degrees Celsius.
Radheyshyam Sharma, director of the Jaipur weather center, stated that a weak western disturbance is currently active in western Rajasthan, leading to light cloud cover in border areas, while the rest of the state remains clear.
He also mentioned that another western disturbance will become active starting March 28, which may change the weather in several districts of the state. This could bring cloud cover, dust storms, and light rain.
