Raghav Chadha Responds to Parliamentary Performance Criticism via Video

New Delhi, April 10: Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha has addressed questions regarding his parliamentary performance through a social media video. He posted on Instagram, stating, “Respectfully to those questioning my parliamentary performance, I will let my work speak for itself.”

The video showcases clips of his speeches in the Rajya Sabha, where he raised several significant issues. Topics included data privacy, making paternity leave a legal right, eliminating minimum balance penalties, and food adulteration. He also voiced concerns about 28-day mobile recharge plans, extra baggage charges by airlines, the paper leak scandal, and air pollution.

Chadha highlighted issues such as the exploitation of gig workers, delays in health insurance claims, toll plaza extortion, expensive airport food, and rising airfares. He advocated for the right to free annual health check-ups and expressed worries about digital copyright strikes, the increasing debt-to-GDP ratio, and overcrowded airports.

The video also covered the status of public sector banks, tax exemptions for the disabled and armed forces, legalizing virtual digital assets, and topics like ‘Right to Hire, Right to Fire.’ He raised serious concerns about inflation, Punjab’s ‘Cancer Train,’ water scarcity, groundwater depletion, and drinking water issues.

Additionally, he mentioned the widening gap between education and employment, wage indexation, MSP for farmers, misleading branding of products, and the need to strengthen rural banking infrastructure. Chadha also called for awarding the Bharat Ratna to Bhagat Singh, implementing ‘One Nation, One Medical Treatment,’ menstrual hygiene, and the Sri Nankana Sahib Corridor.

He urged the central government to release funds for Punjab, enhance central-state grants, and expand flight cafes. This video is seen as an effort to highlight his parliamentary work and issues of public interest.
