Ranchi, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : RANCHI — Senior Congress leader Rakesh Sinha has voiced strong criticism regarding the Maharashtra police’s refusal to permit protests by the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP) on various pressing issues. He emphasized that the public is increasingly aware of the issue of ‘vote theft.’ Sinha asserted that the resignation and arrest of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar are imminent. He stated that no permission is required for citizens to protest.
During an interview, Sinha claimed that the government in Maharashtra was formed through ‘vote theft.’ He questioned whether individuals or organizations wanting to protest against this issue would need permission, suggesting that the refusal was expected due to fear among those he termed ‘vote thieves.’
Sinha expressed that the governments of Maharashtra, Bihar, and West Bengal are now fearful. He noted that the youth and the general public are awakening to the reality of ‘vote theft.’ He declared that no permission is needed for protests, as democracy in India must not be undermined under any circumstances. He forecasted a large-scale movement leading to the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar and a potential end to the BJP’s rule in the country.
On a viral video involving Union Minister Chirag Paswan, Sinha remarked that merely expressing sorrow is insufficient. He criticized the lack of action when incidents of abuse against young girls occur, stating that regret is often expressed only after law and order collapses. He urged Paswan to awaken his conscience and reflect on the legacy of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, who was known for never compromising with wrongdoing. Sinha encouraged Chirag Paswan to stand firm, asserting that power is transient and should not be prioritized over moral decisions.
