New Delhi, October 20 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Dussehra celebrations at the DDA Festival Ground in New Delhi on October 20. He began his address with chants of “Jai Siya Ram,” extending heartfelt greetings to all citizens. Modi remarked that the spirit of Ram is alive throughout India, with villages and cities immersed in the festivities of Ram Leela.

He emphasized that the performances of Ram Leela across the country are not just festivals; they embody the ideals of Lord Ram, symbolizing the triumph of truth over falsehood and the end of tyranny. According to Modi, this cultural celebration is a vital part of India’s identity, rooted in thousands of years of devotion to Lord Ram.

The Prime Minister highlighted the challenges faced by Lord Ram throughout his life, noting that he never wavered from truth and righteousness. When Lord Ram faced exile, he embraced the Nishad Raj and honored Mata Shabari, demonstrating compassion and kindness. Upon his return to Ayodhya, he established a Ram Rajya, a governance model still regarded as the ideal for good administration.

Modi stated that the essence of governance should focus on serving the people, particularly the underprivileged. He drew lessons from Lord Ram’s life, encouraging citizens to recognize their strength and resources.
