Noida, August 9: The Gautam Buddh Nagar police are on high alert to ensure the Kanwar Yatra, taking place during the month of Shravan, is conducted safely and smoothly. Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, the police are continuously monitoring arrangements for the safety and convenience of Kanwar pilgrims.
In this context, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Shailendra Kumar Singh, along with police forces, inspected various police station areas in Central Noida. During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the security arrangements along the main routes of the Kanwar Yatra. He reviewed the barricading, traffic management, parking arrangements, lighting, and cleanliness along the routes. Additionally, he gathered information on basic facilities available for the pilgrims, such as drinking water and medical assistance.
Officials were instructed to ensure that devotees face no difficulties along the pilgrimage routes and that essential services remain available at all times. The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the Kanwar camps set up at various locations, engaging with camp operators and pilgrims to gather feedback on the arrangements.
He spoke with the traveling devotees to inquire about their well-being and urged them to report any issues to the police immediately. During the inspection, police officials were given clear directives that the safety of the pilgrims should be the top priority. Officers stationed along the routes must remain vigilant and act promptly in case of any suspicious activity or emergencies.
Police officials and staff were briefed to perform their duties with complete alertness and sensitivity. Special instructions were issued regarding traffic management to minimize inconvenience to the general public during the movement of Kanwar pilgrims. Traffic police and local police were advised to work in coordination to control traffic, maintain organized parking, and manage unnecessary crowds along the pilgrimage routes.
Officials emphasized that maintaining law and order during the Kanwar Yatra while providing a safe environment for devotees is the police’s primary responsibility. All relevant officers and staff have been instructed to conduct regular patrols and keep a close watch on the arrangements in their respective areas.
