New Delhi, February 28: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Punjab. Chugh stated that under Congress, farmers and laborers faced constant injustice. In contrast, PM Modi’s government provides security and opportunities for farmers to thrive.
In New Delhi, Chugh questioned Rahul Gandhi about the agricultural budget during the Congress rule from 2004 to 2014, which was merely ₹25,000 crores. Today, under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, this budget has surged to ₹1.5 lakh crores. He highlighted that during the Congress tenure, rural laborers in Punjab received minimal employment opportunities, often backed by fraudulent documents. Chugh emphasized that PM Modi has committed to providing 125 days of employment for rural workers.
Regarding trade deals, Chugh asserted that the current government prioritizes farmers’ interests and crop security. He noted that these trade agreements will open markets for farmers, ensuring their safety and growth.
Praising PM Modi, Chugh remarked that India has become the world’s fourth-largest economic power under his leadership. Countries worldwide are eager to establish trade agreements with India. He pointed out that the nation’s image has transformed into one of confidence and rapid development. However, he criticized Congress for mourning during times of national achievement, whether it be during the AI Summit or the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Chugh accused Congress of adopting a negative narrative based on foreign tools to undermine the country’s progress. He concluded by stating that the public has recognized their tactics, leading to consistent electoral defeats for the “corrupt prince and princess.”
