PM Modi Highlights Bengals Struggles at Vijay Sankalp Sabha in Jhargram

Jhargram, April 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Vijay Sankalp Sabha in Jhargram, West Bengal, on Sunday. He emphasized that the upcoming election is crucial for preserving the rich heritage and identity of Bengal. He warned that the state is at risk of losing its unique identity.

Modi criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for its dangerous agenda, claiming that the party aims to establish a government that prioritizes the interests of infiltrators over the local population. He stated that if there is an enemy to this infiltrator government, it will be the very people of Bengal. He urged every section of society in Bengal to unite and take a stand.

The Prime Minister reiterated that this election is about safeguarding the rich heritage of the land and protecting Bengal’s identity. He described the TMC’s agenda as extremely perilous, focusing on the rights of infiltrators rather than the indigenous population’s religion, language, and customs.

Modi pointed out that the TMC has been in power for 15 years, a significant period during which the party has failed to deliver. He highlighted the dire situation in tribal areas, stating, “There is no education, no employment, no healthcare, and no irrigation… everything is in disarray.” He criticized TMC leaders for being indifferent to the people’s problems while they fill their own pockets.

He also mentioned the issues with electricity supply, saying that power outages can last for days, yet hefty electricity bills continue to arrive. Modi vowed to hold accountable those who exploit the region’s resources and keep the people in darkness.

He assured the audience that if they elect a BJP Chief Minister, they would see improvements in electricity supply and relief from high bills. Modi introduced the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, aimed at reducing electricity costs for the people.

Additionally, he addressed women’s representation, stating that the BJP aims to provide 33% reservation for women by 2029, but the TMC has opposed this in Parliament. He called on the women of Bengal to punish the TMC for its actions against their representation.
