PM Modi Criticizes Mamata Government Over President Murmus Disrespect

New Delhi, March 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the disrespect shown to President Droupadi Murmu. He stated that the enlightened citizens of West Bengal will never forgive the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for disrespecting a woman, an indigenous person, and the esteemed President of the country.

PM Modi remarked, “On Sunday, the nation celebrates International Women’s Day, and on Saturday, the TMC government in West Bengal grossly insulted President Droupadi Murmu. She had traveled to Bengal to participate in a significant festival of the Santhal tribal tradition, but the TMC boycotted that sacred and important event for the President and the tribal community.”

He further emphasized, “The enlightened citizens of West Bengal will never forgive the TMC for disrespecting a woman, an indigenous person, and the esteemed President of the country. The nation will not forgive either. The tribal community of the country will never forgive, and the strength of women in the nation will also never forgive.”

Earlier, while wishing everyone on International Women’s Day, he stated, “Today, India is writing a new chapter in women’s empowerment. Under the successful leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the capital is developing. Whether in politics, administration, sports, science, or social service, the women of India are moving forward with renewed energy.”

He added, “I extend heartfelt congratulations to the women of the nation on this Women’s Day and acknowledge their immense contributions to the nation’s development.”

While addressing the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony of development projects worth ₹33,500 crores in Delhi, PM Modi also criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He said, “Today’s event is proof of how necessary it was to free Delhi from the ‘disaster’ it faced a year ago. If the ‘disaster government’ (AAP government) had not been in place, the Metro Phase 4 project would have been completed much earlier. However, the ‘disaster folks’ prioritized their political interests over the convenience of millions in Delhi.”

PM Modi stated that the approach of the ‘disaster’ folks was to do less work and make more excuses. Today, Delhi has a model of development. Previously, project files would languish, but now projects are being implemented on the ground. Since the BJP government came to power, development in Delhi has accelerated.
