Pakistan Boycotts India Match to Avoid Defeat, Says Devkinandan Thakur

New Delhi, February 2: Devkinandan Thakur criticized Pakistan sharply for its decision to boycott the cricket match against India scheduled for February 15. Speaking at a Sanatan Dharma event, the storyteller said Pakistan avoided playing to escape the embarrassment of losing to India.

Thakur pointed out that India’s team, featuring players like Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Abhishek Sharma, is fully prepared and confident. “Pakistan knows very well they will lose if they face our team. By not playing, they have chosen the smarter path to save their dignity,” he remarked.

Thakur also addressed the growing negative impact of social media on children, referring to a recent case of sexual assault on a six-year-old girl in Delhi. He noted that the offenders were minors themselves, aged between 10 and 14, and stressed that the root cause lies in the unchecked objectionable content online.

“People say reform them instead of punishing, but we must attack the root. Social media is spreading filth into society, and young children are falling victim to it. There should be a campaign to control inappropriate content on social media,” he urged. Thakur questioned why films have censorship boards while social media remains unregulated, pointing out that children as young as ten are exposed to harmful content there.

He also spoke about Ishika Taneja, who left Bollywood to follow a spiritual path. Under the Lakshmi Foundation, she is now educating youth about Sanatan Dharma and the many forms of Goddess Lakshmi.
