Over 1.1 Million Housing Approvals to Be Distributed in Bihar, Says Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Patna, August 20: In Bihar, over 1.1 million housing approval letters will be distributed to residents living in temporary homes. Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who visited Patna, stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, the development and welfare initiatives in Bihar will continue to thrive.

While speaking to reporters at Patna Airport, Chouhan expressed his joy, saying, “Standing on this sacred land of Bihar fills my heart with immense happiness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to provide a permanent home to every poor brother and sister in our country. Today, I am particularly pleased to announce that over 1.1 million homes are being approved for those living in temporary shelters. They will finally have a solid roof over their heads, fulfilling their dreams.”

He further congratulated the Bihar government for its decision to thrive under the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme, which ensures compensation for crop losses. Additionally, under the PM Asha (Prime Minister’s Farmer Income Protection Campaign), Bihar has made significant purchases of lentils this season. The state is also a leader in creating Farmer IDs. Chouhan emphasized that the development and welfare initiatives in Bihar will persist under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

Meanwhile, Bihar government minister Vijay Sinha remarked to a news agency, “The double-engine government’s motto of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is becoming a reality. Today, the Rural Development Minister announced housing provisions for the poor, including arrangements for 1.1 million new homes, which will undoubtedly bring about significant change in Bihar.”
