Oppositions No-Confidence Motion Against Lok Sabha Speaker: A Political Game, Says Shashank Mani Tripathi

New Delhi, March 12: BJP MP Shashank Mani Tripathi criticized the opposition during a discussion in the Lok Sabha, defending Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and the LPG cylinder crisis. He targeted Rahul Gandhi, claiming that baseless allegations were made against the Lok Sabha Speaker, which were proven unfounded in the House.

In response to the opposition’s no-confidence motion against Speaker Om Birla, Shashank Mani stated, “Everyone knows this is a game by these individuals, who raise objections against constitutional positions without any gain. The opposition does not engage with the public. If they listen to the people and advocate for them, the public would support them. The public is not with them, which is why they first blamed the EVMs and then the Election Commission. When that failed, they turned to the Speaker with a no-confidence motion, which we have rejected.”

Regarding the LPG cylinder crisis, the MP noted, “The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has caused some disruption in the supply of oil, crude oil, and gas. However, we currently have sufficient reserves. The Prime Minister has urged everyone not to panic over this crisis. I believe this war will end soon. Previously, over 150 ships used to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, but now only 7-8 are making the journey. Normal supply of oil and gas will resume shortly.”

Just a day earlier, Shashank Mani commented on the proceedings of the House, stating that all MPs had the opportunity to express their views during a recent discussion. The true spirit of democracy is reflected when the House functions smoothly and all sides present their opinions.
