New Delhi, 29 December. The electric two-wheeler market in India witnessed significant changes in 2025. Market leader Ola Electric experienced a steep decline of nearly 50 percent in its market share during this period.

Ola Electric’s market share dropped to 16.1 percent in 2025 from 36.7 percent in 2024.

According to the Government vehicle portal, Ola Electric sold 1,96,767 units in 2025.

The decline in Ola Electric’s market share is attributed to operational challenges faced by the company, including customer issues with vehicle servicing after delivery and concerns regarding product quality.

The company continues to operate at a loss. Ola Electric reported a consolidated loss of ₹418 crore in the second quarter of the financial year 2026.

During the same period, the company’s total revenue fell by 43 percent year-on-year to ₹690 crore, down from ₹1,214 crore in the second quarter of financial year 2025.

In a previous exchange filing, the company stated, “For the auto segment, we expect lower volumes compared to guidance in the first quarter as we continue to focus on margin and cash discipline in a highly competitive market.”

Ola Electric’s shares have seen a continuous decline, falling 13.77 percent in the past month and 19 percent over six months. Since the start of the year, the shares have dropped by 59.44 percent.

During this time, established manufacturers with strong dealer networks and better after-sales support have strengthened their positions in the market.

TVS Motor Company emerged as the market leader in 2025, selling 2,95,315 units and capturing a 24.2 percent market share.

Bajaj Auto secured the second spot with a 21.9 percent market share, intensifying competition in the segment.
